We have already reviewed which mandatory publicity elements must be implemented during the project preparation and implementation phases, but once the project is completed, we cannot simply sit back.
The phase following the physical completion of the project: maintaining visibility
After the project is completed, communication obligations continue. The aim is to ensure that the results of the development implemented with EU funding remain publicly visible in the long term.
Mandatory elements in this phase:
Press release and media coverage on project closure
After the project is completed, the beneficiary must also publish a closing press release presenting the results and referring to the EU support received. Published articles and reports must be collected and submitted to the Grant Provider.
- the press release must be approved by the Grant Provider at least 15 days before it is sent out
- it must be sent to media content service providers, MTI, and the local press
- the press release must present the essence of the development and the role of EU funding in a clear and accessible way
- a template for the press release is available on the Grant Provider’s website
Uploading to TÉRKÉPTÉR
Projects are presented on the central, public TÉRKÉPTÉR platform. Visually engaging photographs prepared for communication purposes must be uploaded there within 60 days of the physical completion of the project.
According to KTK Plusz, information boards and communication surfaces must be maintained until the financial closure of the project, but at least until 31 December 2034. Failure to comply with these obligations may result in a reduction of the grant by up to 3%. The fulfilment of publicity requirements may be checked during the professional report review and during on-site inspections.
