The amendment to the KTK Plusz Guidelines, effective from 16 March 2026, clarifies several important communication requirements. The most significant change is that the classification of communication obligations is now based not on the amount of funding awarded, but on the project’s total cost and nature.

The KTK Plusz Guidelines have been amended, so all beneficiaries should review which communication obligations apply to their own project. The new rules provide more detailed clarification on requirements related to websites, social media, information boards, and photo documentation. The most important change is that obligations are now determined based on the project’s total cost and nature, which may also affect projects that are already underway.

If your project is currently ongoing, you should definitely check what obligations apply to you, because failure to comply may result in sanctions by the authority and could even lead to repayment of the funding.

Website and social media obligations

The Guidelines provide a more detailed breakdown of beneficiaries’ responsibilities regarding websites and social media platforms. This does not represent a tightening of the rules, but rather serves to clarify the requirements in different situations.

An important new requirement is that even consortium members who do not account for project costs must create a project presentation subpage on their own website.

Rules on information boards

The requirements for placing information boards have also been clarified:

  • in consortium projects, every member must place a board at its own implementation site,
  • in the case of multiple sites, it is sufficient to place the board at the primary site,
  • for members who do not account for project costs, placing a board is not mandatory.

The boards must remain in place from the physical completion of the project until the financial closure, and their condition must be properly maintained throughout that period.

Photo documentation requirements

Stricter technical requirements have also been introduced regarding the documentation of the displayed boards:

  • at least two photos with a date stamp are required,
  • in a minimum resolution of 2448x3264 pixels (approx. 8 MP),
  • one photo must clearly show that the text is legible, while the other must make it possible to verify the surrounding environment.

At the same time, an important simplification has also been introduced: if the project concerns financial support measures (e.g. wage subsidies or scholarships), no photo documentation is required for that particular element.

Content requirements for result communication

The mandatory content requirements for result communication materials have also been clarified. These materials must include, among others:

  • the name of the beneficiary,
  • the project identifier,
  • the subject of the development,
  • the amount of funding,
  • a detailed presentation of the project,
  • the planned or actual completion date,
  • as well as visual (photographic) presentation.

Technical assistance (TA) projects

The regulation has been supplemented by clarifying the scope of technical assistance projects, with specific reference to VOP Plusz-4.1.1, 4.1.2 and 4.2.1 projects.

Amendments affecting Pillar projects

In the case of Pillar projects:

  • the system of website and social media obligations has become clearer,
  • the retention period for information boards has been specified more precisely,
  • the technical parameters of images to be uploaded to TÉRKÉPTÉR have been defined (minimum 8 MP resolution),

and the institutional-level allocation of communication tasks has also been clarified.
