A successful cyberattack today is no longer just an IT issue: it can halt production, disrupt sales, compromise customer data, and even create legal and regulatory compliance risks.

The aim of the SSNS_NCC-HU-FSTP-2026 call is therefore very tangible: to strengthen the cyber resilience and risk management capabilities of Hungarian SMEs, in line with the cybersecurity objectives of the Digital Europe Programme.

Who can apply?

The call is open to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, with no territorial restrictions, provided that the company operates in a sector covered by Annex 2 or Annex 3 of the Hungarian Cybersecurity Act. Such sectors may include, for example, energy, transport and healthcare, as well as waste management and certain digital service providers; and, in the case of specific services, electronic communications, trust service providers, and DNS/domain name services.

Key practical eligibility conditions include:

  • having at least 3 closed, full financial years;
  • being a double-entry bookkeeping entity (company), sole proprietor or sole enterprise.

Applications may not be submitted in a consortium – each application must be submitted by a single applicant.

How much funding can be requested?

In short, the financial framework is as follows:

  • HUF 3,000,000–22,000,000 can be requested;
  • the funding is non-repayable (grant);
  • the aid intensity is 50% (de minimis);
  • advance payment: up to 80% of the awarded grant amount.

Project duration: up to 6 months are available for physical completion.

What can the funding be used for? The focus is clear: the procurement of cybersecurity tools/technologies and the use of cybersecurity services.

When and how can you apply?

Applications must be submitted electronically: the application can be filed via the official e-application interface using the dedicated application form software. The submission period runs from 30 March 2026, to 24 May 2026, and according to the draft, evaluation is carried out in stages, meaning that applications received by the specified cut-off dates are assessed in separate rounds.
