According to a recent announcement published on palyazat.gov.hu, the call “Support for Focus Area Innovation Projects” (GINOP Plusz 2.1.1-24) has been amended. The change specifically affects the submission windows for evaluation stages 8–11, meaning that the early-2026 application rounds have been postponed to a later date.

What exactly has changed?

The submission period for the final evaluation stages (Stages 8–11) has been moved to a later date:

  • Previously: 24 February 2026 – 10 March 2026
  • Now: 24 March 2026 – 21 April 2026

Who is this actually important for?

This change matters for any applicant planning to submit under the final evaluation stages (Stages 8–11) of the call. In other words, if your target window was previously late February to March 2026, the effective submission window is now late March to April 2026.

What do you gain from the delay and what do you risk?

The good news: you have more time to refine the professional and technical content of your application (work plan, milestones, budget, consortium roles, indicators). There may also be more flexibility to obtain supplier offers, quotations, and required supporting documents.

The risk: “there’s still time” can easily lead to procrastination, while the final 1–2 weeks before submission are typically hectic anyway (final documents, access rights, the electronic submission interface, attachments).

Because the deadlines close at exact times (10:00 / 11:00 / 12:00 / 13:00), it’s not advisable to leave submission to the last day.
