DIMOP 1.1.2: How much funding has been allocated and how much remains?

By now, winner lists have been published for all three DIMOP Plusz-1.1.2 schemes (A/B/C), so it is now clear in numbers: what the budget was, how many applicants won, and what share of the total budget was covered by the winners.

1) DIMOP Plusz-1.1.2/A – Digital product innovation developments

  • Budget: HUF 10.0 billion
  • Winners: 285 projects
  • Approved grant: HUF 9.035 billion → 90.35% of the budget
  • Remaining: approx. HUF 0.965 billion

The “A” call has essentially run its course. Most of the budget has been allocated; what remains is mainly of a technical nature.

2) DIMOP Plusz-1.1.2/B – Corporate digital R&D developments

  • Budget: HUF 28.0 billion
  • Winners: 109 projects
  • Approved grant: HUF 19.181 billion → 68.50% of the budget
  • Remaining: approx. HUF 8.819 billion

In the Annual Development Framework (ÉFK), a planned budget of HUF 28 billion is indicated for the “B” scheme. By contrast, the text of the call set a more specific budget: HUF 19,255,000,000. Based on the results announced now, the winning projects cover HUF 19,181,353,733 in grant support, meaning that the initial budget defined in the call has been practically fully committed (only about HUF 73.6 million remains).

However, the difference between the two figures is telling: if the HUF 28 billion shown in the ÉFK represents a broader, programme-level available envelope, then the HUF 19.255 billion appearing in the call may have been only a first phase/round of that. Under this interpretation, the “B” scheme may still have remaining budget (on the order of HUF 8.745 billion), which – depending on decisions and scheduling—could be announced again in a subsequent round (for example in 2026–2027) or reallocated to another related measure.

It is important to note, however, that this is not automatic: the discrepancy between the ÉFK budget and the budget announced in the specific call may reflect scheduling, rescheduling, or later amendments. From a communication perspective, the key point is clear: the approved funding for the announced winners almost fully covers the initial budget set out in the call, while the higher budget level indicated in the ÉFK suggests there may, in principle, be room for a next phase.

3) DIMOP Plusz-1.1.2/C – Complex digital R&D developments

  • Budget: HUF 10.0 billion
  • Winners: 8 projects
  • Approved grant: HUF 3.138 billion → 31.38% of the budget
  • Remaining: approx. HUF 6.862 billion

For the “C” call, the announced winners covered only one third of the budget, leaving a very significant остаток. This is often related to more complex content requirements, a higher entry threshold, and a stricter evaluation logic.

What may happen to the remaining budget – could there be another call in 2026–2027?

The remaining budget does not disappear automatically, but it is also not necessarily re-launched by default. In practice, there are several possible routes:

  • reopening / supplementary decision within the same call (if rules and scheduling allow),
  • reallocation to another DIMOP measure,
  • or launching a new call / a new round.

Based on the current figures, especially the “B” and in particular the “C” scheme appear to have sufficient headroom that could realistically provide a basis for another call or a reshuffling in 2026–2027 – of course, only if the Managing Authority decides so and it fits within the annual schedule.
