The aim of the call for proposals launched in June 2025 is to accelerate the deployment of companies’ own energy storage and renewable energy generation capacities.

We have already covered the corporate energy storage call under the Jedlik Ányos Energy Programme in an earlier blog post - however, it is worth reviewing the details again, as the first amendment to the call for proposals was published on 9 January 2026.

What changed in the call on 09/01/2026?

1) Submission: new opening date; closure linked to an official announcement

Applications can be submitted from 10:00 on 10 February 2026, until the available funding is exhausted.

The preparation timeline should be aligned with the 10 February opening, and it should be taken into account that the call will not close on a fixed date, but rather based on an official announcement.

2) Share of the PV (photovoltaic) component: a cap has been introduced

Under the amendment, the amount of support that can be allocated to a renewable photovoltaic system for own consumption may not exceed 33% of the awarded grant.

When preparing the budget, PV-related cost items must be structured so that this 33% cap is not exceeded within the total grant amount.

3) Collateral: clarification of the conditions for a parent company guarantee

It has been added in a footnote that a parent company guarantee may be provided as grant collateral only by applicants whose parent company qualifies as a large enterprise.

4) Evaluation: the “recycled storage elements” criterion has been removed

Evaluation criterion no. 7 has been deleted, which required that the energy storage system include at least 10% recycled storage elements (and, according to the text, would also have appeared as an eligibility condition in the event of a positive decision).

5) Feasibility study: fixed scoring scale

The scoring for the professional quality of the feasibility study has been amended as follows:
Poor (2), Acceptable (6), Adequate (8), Good (10), Excellent (15).

The professional quality of the study may significantly influence the overall score; therefore, it is advisable to prepare the technical and economic substantiation, calculations, and justifications at a level of detail consistent with these expectations.

6) Feasibility study guidelines: deletion in Chapter 9

The requirement prescribing recycled storage elements has been removed from Chapter 9 of the Feasibility Study Guidelines, in line with the deletion of evaluation criterion no. 7.

The amendment published on 9 January 2026 affects the call conditions in several respects; therefore, before submission it is recommended to review the project’s technical content, budget structure, and the planned collateral solution.
