The EU funding available to Hungary in the 2021–2027 period amounts to HUF 9,800 billion. Of this, the Digital Renewal Operational Programme Plus (DIMOP Plus) accounts for approximately HUF 764 billion.
Within the framework of the Programme, a total of approximately HUF 638 billion in support has so far been allocated to digitalisation-related developments in 2023–2025. By the end of 2025, a further 21 calls for proposals are expected to be launched, with an overall indicative budget of around HUF 166.5 billion. Among these, the second round of the call „DIMOP Plusz-1.1.6-24 – Supporting growth opportunities for SMEs through the promotion of digital infrastructure and transformation”, covering four disadvantaged regions, is expected to become the flagship scheme for enterprises, with its substantial budget of HUF 32 billion.

The table clearly shows that the originally planned HUF 763.7 billion budget of DIMOP Plus is practically fully committed: the calls already published, together with those expected to be launched by the end of 2025, represent a total support volume of around HUF 804.5 billion. This indicates that, in the fields of digital transition and the development of digital skills, the Programme is mobilising resources that even exceed the originally planned financial envelope.
The bulk of the resources arriving in 2025 will be linked to the “Smarter Hungary” and “Digital skills” priorities – more than 80% of the expected HUF 166.5 billion is concentrated here. From a business perspective, the key message is that calls aiming at the development of digital infrastructure and the digital transformation of SMEs will continue to play a prominent role. This means that companies currently planning investments still have a good chance of finding suitable funding opportunities under the Programme in 2025.
