The new phase of the Demján Sándor 1+1 Programme, aimed at boosting investment by Hungarian SMEs, has launched. Round 2 specifically supports equipment upgrades for rural businesses with non-repayable grant funding and a short, straightforward timeline.

At a glance

The second round launches with a HUF 20 billion budget, up to 50% funding intensity, and HUF 25–200 million available per enterprise. The scheme supports a fast start with 100% advance payment and may be used exclusively for the purchase of new equipment, with implementation outside Budapest. Projects generally have 12 months for completion, extendable by up to +6 months if duly justified.

Important: Actual submission is only possible after pre-registration.

Who can apply?

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises operating in Hungary (or EEA-registered companies with a Hungarian branch) that have at least two full, closed financial years prior to the call, employed at least two people in the preceding full year, and keep double-entry books.

Not eligible: agricultural and food industry developments, and enterprises that have already received a positive decision under the GINOP Plusz-1.2.4–25 call or whose application there is still under evaluation.

What can be funded?

Only the purchase of new, modern equipment that delivers genuine technological development in the business (improving capacity, quality, or efficiency).

Key dates (planned schedule)

  • Pre-registration: from 10:00, 6 November 2025 to 16:00, 12 November 2025
  • Call publication: 18 November 2025
  • Preliminary data upload: from 10:00, 19 November 2025 to 12:00, 28 November 2025
  • Submission window: 1 December 2025, 13:00–15:00

Note: the submission window is narrow - prepare all documents in advance!

Why is it worth it?

A major advantage is that you can draw down the full awarded amount as an advance, enabling a quick project start. The up to 50% intensity provides meaningful resources for modernisation, while the clear focus -new equipment only - simplifies planning and reduces interpretive uncertainty.
