What is DIMOP Plusz-1.1.4-25 about?
This program is about selecting fund managers. It’s not startups that need to apply, but those who will invest in startups in the future. Right now, they’re selecting the players that the most promising Hungarian startups will want to join starting in 2026.
Three new funds will be created:
- 2 funds for rural companies (in less developed regions)
- 1 fund for startups based in Budapest
The program will allocate 16.7 billion HUF to these funds, and their task will be to invest in startups from 2026 onward.
So what can a startup do right now?
Plenty. In fact, this is the time to be smart: right now it’s being decided who you’ll need to approach in 2026. The selected fund managers will be looking for startups that meet the following criteria:
- operate in the ICT sector (TEÁOR codes: 58.2, 61, 62, 63.1)
- develop digital products or services (AI, IoT, Web3, XR, blockchain, quantum, etc.)
- have reached TRL7 or higher in technological maturity
- are preparing for market entry
- engage in R&D or innovation
- and have high growth potential
