NKFIH - National Research, Development and Innovation Office
Support for energy research and development projects (draft call available)
- Objective: Development of innovative energy technologies
- Total budget: HUF 13 billion
- Grant amount: HUF 200 - 600 million

GINOP Plus - Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme Plus

GINOP Plus-1.4.5-25 - National Champions
- Objective: Combined loan programme for green and digital transition investments
- Total budget: HUF 155 billion
- Loan amount: HUF 150 - 600 million

- Energy efficiency improvements
- Use of renewable energy sources
- Digitalisation investments

Jedlik Ányos Energy Programme
Main calls for proposals:
Modernisation and development of renewable-based district heating systems
- Objective: Improve energy efficiency of district heating providers and connect renewable-based heat production to the network
- Total budget: HUF 51 billion
- Grant amount: HUF 200 million - 3.5 billion
- Eligible applicants: Small, medium, and large enterprises
- Eligible activities:
- Installation of heat pumps, biomass and geothermal systems
- Full conversion of fossil-based systems to renewable sources
- Installation of heat storage systems
Modernisation and development of district heating infrastructure
- Objective: Upgrading district heating networks
- Total budget: HUF 45 billion
- Grant amount: HUF 20 million - 1.5 billion
- Eligible applicants: District heating providers
- Eligible activities:
- Separation and modernisation of heating centers
- Replacement and underground installation of district heating pipelines
- Installation of heat storage systems
- Integration of renewable or waste-heat based heat generators
Support for investments related to biogas and biomethane production (draft call available)
- Objective: Promote the use of renewable energy sources, especially biogas and biomethane production and utilisation
- Total budget: HUF 40 billion
- Grant amount: For regular plants: HUF 500 million – 5 billion (for small-scale plants: HUF 200 - 800 million)
- Eligible applicants: SMEs and large enterprises
- Eligible activities:
- Raw material handling and storage
- Pre-processing of organic materials
- Anaerobic conversion (biogas production)
- Further utilisation (e.g. acquisition of heat and/or electricity generation equipment)
Support for renewable-based energy production and storage for businesses (draft call available)
- Objective: Increase energy independence and reduce grid load
- Total budget: HUF 50 billion
- Grant amount: HUF 10 million – 1 billion
- Eligible applicants: SMEs and large enterprises
- Eligible activities:
- Purchase of equipment for electricity or heat storage
- Installation of solar power plants, wind generators, and heat pump systems for own use
- Hardware, software, and control systems
- Related construction, engineering, and project management activities
